12. Papers Selected For Presentation

All the abstracts submitted by E-mail and handed over to the office of the Principal, Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram, as stated in the Conference Brochure were peer reviewed, rated and judged on their relevance to the theme of the Conference.

The title of the paper and the name/s of the presenter/s whose abstract was selected for presentation is given below. Presentations will be permitted only on payment of Registration fee.

On behalf of the Centenary Committee of our college, I congratulate you all. We are looking forward to an interesting and enriching paper presentation session.

Kindly note that if the name/s title/s of papers submitted does not appear in the list below, it has been summarily rejected. No correspondence / E-mail in this regard will be attended to. Please note that even though the abstract submitted has been rejected, the author is eligible to attend the conference as a delegate, provided full fees is paid at the Registration counter on 18 June 2010.

  1. Three papers under the Sub Theme: Faculty development programmes for global needs are related to student teachers. Since I do not know the content of these papers I cannot commend on them. Faculty development programmes are meant for working professionals. As such how the papers related to student teachers could be placed under this category. I feel that we have to ensure that the papers under this catogory are related to in-service teachers, teacher educators and other professionals working in the field of education. Obviously the organizers know the content of the papers; they might have taken a right decision.

    We did check the theme-wise classification of papers. It was found that while entering the data an error had crept in.
