Abstract Submission Information
DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS-Abstracts must be received no later than 07 June 2010
•Confirmation of receipt of abstracts/ acceptance or rejection will be e-mailed within three days of the submission deadline, provided email address is given in the Registration Form submitted.
Instructions
•Abstracts are to be submitted in English.
•A separate Registration Form should be completed for submission of each abstract, if more than one is submitted.. The Registration Form can be photo copied.
•Type the abstract on A4 size paper as Microsoft Word document in Times New Roman font of 12 points and 1.5 line spacing.
•The first named author should be the presenting author.
•If it is a joint paper, the persons concerned should register their names by paying full amount separately.
•If it is a joint paper, in the certificate issued, it will be stated that it is a joint presentation and each certificate issued will bear the names of the concerned authors and not of an individual author.
•Indicate the Thrust Area, the title of the paper and name of presenter on a separate sheet attached to the abstract.
• The abstract should not be more than 150 words and must be sent to gctetvm@gmail.com
•Those participating in the Paper/ Poster presentation should submit a hard copy in A4 size paper. This along with the completed Registration Form and a DD towards Registration Fee should be sent to : The Principal, Govt. CTE, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala State 695014
On receiving these, the abstract will be peer reviewed, rated and judged
on its relevance to the theme of the conference.
•All accepted abstracts will be published as a compendium that will be available at the conference.

•Familiarizing participants with issues regarding current trends in teacher education that aims at meeting global changes.
•Reassessing the range and scope of current educational practices to address changes in global standards.
•Creating a venue for proposing innovative solutions for practices which were implemented and found to be failures in the current teacher education programmes in the country.

•Restructuring institutional programmes to meet changing environment
•Faculty development programmes for global needs
•Adapting curriculum to respond to the changing world

The conference has various types of presentations and meeting. They include:
• The inaugural session during which the key note address of the conference will be presented by an invited speaker.
•Plenary sessions, total four in number – one each for the forenoon and afternoon sessions of a duration of 60 minutes during which renowned educationists will be dealing with the Thrust areas of the conference.
•Panel Discussion on solutions for the changing realities vis-à-vis teacher education programmes in India
•Paper Presentation : Competition
Presentations of a duration of ten minutes by delegates to win the coveted Centenary Prize for the Best Paper presenter for each of the following category 1. Research-based 2.Innovative solutions
•Paper Presentation : Non-CompetitionPresentations of a duration of seven minutes by delegates
•Poster Sessions : Selected posters dealing with the conference theme will be displayed at the entrance of the Conference venue. The Poster presenters will make a three minute presentation highlighting key points from their poster.
•Media Displays : Presentations of Video, Internet, Film and other media.
